15 authors - 15 approaches and interpretations - 15 black perceptions
Artists: Dragica Čadež, Mojca Černič Pretnar, Polona Demšar, Meta Kastelic, Paola Korošec, Damijan Kracina, Eva Peterson Lenassi, Roman Makše, Boštjan Novak, Karel Plemenitaš, Sonja Tavčar Skaberne, Mojca Smerdu, Katarina Toman Kracina, Urša Toman in Dani Žbontar.
Black ceramics is obtained through reduction firing technique that is sometimes more and sometimes less present in human expression. And yet it was used from the very beginnings of human creativity in the field of ceramics.
The exhibition Black shows that its strong and expressive presence supports thinking of contemporary artistic practises. Thus we find forms from figure to abstraction, multimedia researches and complex presentations.
Reduction firing was executed with the knowledge and guidance of potter Štefan Zelko form Lemarje village and Karel Šalomon form Primary School Grad, Grad.
Exhibition can be seen until 9th of November 2011. Gallery is opened every day from 9 until 19.
